OK, so you know you need to cleanse your face twice a day, but are you using the right cleanser?
Sometimes your face needs a little more, depending on the kinds of products you use, if you wear makeup, and what your skin has been exposed to that day.
Cleanser for daily use
A good daily cleanser is one that gently removes oil and dirt from the skin without drying it out, which can further aggravate acne breakouts and cause blemishes and discoloration. This is especially important for people with acne and/or oily skin. Healing your skin starts with creating a consistently balanced environment for your skin to regulate itself and thrive, and your daily cleanser is a big part of that.
What is a pre-cleanser?
A pre-cleanser doesn’t actually cleanse your skin. It acts as an assisting agent for your cleanser to start to loosen and dissolve oil and build up
A pre-cleanser is also a great opportunity to reinforce moisturization and nourishment so the skin isn’t dry or dull.
When should I use a pre-cleanser?
I suggest using a pre-cleanser
If you wear makeup or find yourself with extra dirt or oil on your face everyday, I suggest making a pre-cleanser the first step in your AM and PM routines to make sure your skin is prepped for a thorough cleansing.
Remember, every step in your skincare routine is important for clearing and healing acne and blemishes, but it all starts with clear pores. Keep it clear!
